Clinical or School Psychologist (Accredited Private School)

Milestones is seeking a talented and experienced psychologist (MA/MS, CAGS, Ph.D., Psy.D. Ed.D. in psychology) to
work with our elementary and middle school students 4-5 days per school week.
Milestones Day School has provided state-of-the-art, evidence-based, comprehensive, educational, and
therapeutic programming for students with autism and mental health challenges for the past 30 years. Just bring
your enthusiasm and join our multidisciplinary team. We are seeking an experienced psychologist to work with
our elementary and middle school students and help improve the quality of their lives by teaching skill
development. This role’s deal candidate will have strong organizational and management skills and a strong
fondness for our population.
Specific responsibilities include:
-General program management, supervision, and oversight
-Providing consultation/training periodically to Milestones’ staff
-Providing diagnostic & psychological assessments (including personality/projective assessments)
-Writing reports & effectively presenting information, test results, diagnoses, & recommendations at
meetings in a manner easily understood by the team (including family) & when appropriate, the student
-Liaison to students’ outside psychologists and psychiatrists
-Provide individual & weekly small group therapy (classes up to 8 students) for 5 classrooms (2 elementary
and 3 middle school)
-Consult with families occasionally
-Provide crisis intervention in situations requiring immediate psychological treatment
-Evaluate the progress of therapeutic programs and make individual modifications
-Assess mental status (including suicidality) in students and develop plans based on findings
-Write IEP goals, benchmarks, and progress reports for the psychological aspects of the students’ IEPs
-Continue to keep up with professional development for current trends in the field (Milestones provides
stipends for professional development)
Requirements:
-Ph.D., Psy.D., Ed.D. in Psychology or licensed school psychologist (MA, MS, or CAGS)
-Licensed in the state of Massachusetts
-Knowledge and experience with a variety of assessment instruments, including administration, scoring,
and interpretation
-Knowledge and experience of a wide variety of psychological methods. Mindfulness, DBT & CBT,
preferred
-Knowledge and experience with students who have autism spectrum disorders and various mental health
challenges (e.g., anxiety, OCD, DMDD, or ADHD, etc.)
-Knowledge of special education systems and laws preferred
-Desire to keep abreast of current information on various diagnoses and treatment methods through
professional development
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills
-Strong organizational skills & experience with being a team player
-Strong empathy and understanding of both students who have disabilities and parents who have children
with disabilities
-Excellent critical thinking, written, and verbal skills
-Ability to maintain emotional stability to cope with human suffering, emergencies, and other stresses

Salary
$80-86,000 (Masters) – $89-92,000 (Doctoral)
