PAG Meeting Minutes, Important Calendar Updates including WinterFest, and Thanksgiving Well Wishes
November 23, 2021
Happy Thanksgiving week! Today we are sharing follow-up information from our recent Parent Advisory Group meeting that took place on 11/12/21, providing a series of calendar reminders for the winter months, and offering helpful safety information as we depart for the holiday long weekend.
- PAG Meeting Minutes and Slide Presentation: For your reference, we have attached copies of our 11/12/21 PAG meeting minutes and the slide deck from our presentation on the topic of “Autism and Dating.” If you would also like to listen to a recording of the training presentation, please notify Heidi Warren (Project Coordinator) at: firstname.lastname@example.org and she will be happy to provide you with a link.
- Important Winter Calendar Reminders Including a Rescheduled WinterFest Date (PAG minutes p.5): The winter is a busy time at Milestones! Please see p. 5 of the PAG meeting minutes for a list of calendar reminders for the period from late November – February school vacation. For example, this list includes a reminder of a half-day (12:00pm dismissal) on Wednesday of next week (12/1/21) for staff’s professional development and a rescheduled date for our annual WinterFest celebration (now scheduled for Thursday, 2/17/21 with Friday, 2/18/21 as a weather make-up day, if needed). Further details about WinterFest will be circulated as we approach February.
- Thanksgiving Well Wishes and Safety Reminder: On behalf of our faculty, we would like to wish all of our Milestones families a very Happy Thanksgiving filled with delicious food and special memories! Our team at Milestones values the opportunity to work with your amazing students and to collaborate with such dedicated parents/guardians. To help ensure a safe onsite re-entry for our students and faculty next week, please continue to notify our School Nurse (Lyn Ross: email@example.com) if your student(s) experience any signs of illness or potential exposures so that she can provide direction and assistance.
Thank you, and we hope that you enjoy lovely holiday weekends!
