How We Learn
Milestones students are a group of eclectic learners. While many students exhibit similar traits, no two students have the exact same profile. Therefore, Milestones staff are proficient at using multi-modality teaching to educate students. Staff may take a lesson and teach orally, visually, and kinesthetically, making lessons spring to life for the ultimate presentation of material. It’s not uncommon to see our students taking a hike through our conservation land to bring a science lesson to life, using hands-on activities to teach math or videotaping a novel that students take turns reading. All high school students have science lab at least once per week to reinforce what they are learning and participate in experiments in our high technology laboratory.
