Accreditation
Milestones is a therapeutic day school serving students from the elementary grades up through age 22 that is fully approved and monitored by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. We service students from approximately 45 public school districts whose unique educational and therapeutic needs merit an out of district school placement under the state’s special education law, Chapter 766. We are proud that we have been consistently identified by the Department of Education’s Office of Approved Special Education Programs as demonstrating exemplary compliance across our school programming and operational practices
Affiliation
Milestones deeply believes in the value of collaboration to best support the needs and goals of our students. In addition to partnering with our families and sending districts, Milestones is also an active member of the Massachusetts of 766 Approved Private Schools (maaps). maaps is a statewide association that is dedicated to the advocacy for high quality educational programming and services for students with special needs, and Milestones’ team members serve on various Board and Committee roles and participate in legislative initiatives.
