5th Annual March a Mile for Milestones Charity Walk

Each year Milestones hosts a school-wide Community Service Day for students and staff.  This year we are repeating our highly successful school-wide charity walk at the Newton YMCA, “March a Mile for Milestones.”  For those who wish to donate, checks may be made out to “Milestones Day School” (with Adopt a Family in the notation line) in any denomination.  Which charity?  Every December our therapists oversee an “Adopt a Family” initiative where we sponsor a few families in need who cannot afford holiday gifts.  We share information about these families within the Milestones community, and our students become fully immersed in the process as they solicit donations, purchase and wrap wish list gifts, and deliver items.  All donations from “March a Mile for Milestones” will directly support our “Adopt a Family” collection, and parents can expect to receive more details about the specific families we choose to sponsor in December.  Last year was our most generous year yet, and we hope to repeat our success!
